ONLINE SECONDARY
SCHOOL
Students start year 7 with a broad curriculum across the sciences, humanities, Islamic studies and personal development subjects. In the third year (Year 9), students typically begin the three-year program that culminates in the achievement of their IGCSE qualifications.
KEY STAGE 3 -
CURRICULUM
Students from a homeschooling background often require a more challenging curriculum than the standard state school curriculum. That is exactly how we have designed our Key Stage 3 Homeschooling Programme. Using the National Curriculum for England as a foundation, we deliver stimulating lessons that strengthen literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills. Our curriculum is broad and balanced, seamlessly integrating Islamic education to nurture the intellectual, social, cultural, spiritual, and moral development of every student.
The curriculum for years 7 and 8 includes English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, two Modern Foreign Languages, French and Arabic, Computer Science, Arts, Life Skills, Quran and Aadab and Akhlaq.
Pupils are expected to start school at 09:00 and finish at 15.45 (subject to specific timetable).
The year is split into three terms. The spring term starts just after the New Year and ends during Ramadan break. The Summer term runs from after the Eid holidays until the summer holidays. The Autumn term runs from the beginning of September until the December holidays.

															KEY STAGE 3
At ASRA Hub, we view this stage as a critical period for our homeschooling students. Before beginning their IGCSE journey, students are introduced to a wide range of topics and subjects, giving them broader exposure. This helps them make smoother, well-informed choices when selecting their IGCSE subjects and ensures they are fully prepared for the next stage of their education.
