About the School

Accreditation

Absolutely. For the GCSE curriculum, we follow The English Baccalaureate (EBacc), which is widely accepted by top British universities as well as most international universities.

ASRA is a specialist home schooling hub. We provide a variety of learning options for home schooled students. This form of education does not require Ofsted or DfE accreditation. For iGCSE qualifications, we prepare our students for internationally recognised British exam boards such as Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge international.

ASRA Social

Home schooling provides significant advantages to parents when it comes to hobbies and extra-curricular activities. There is plenty of free time available in ASRA’s timetable for parents and students to benefit from local clubs and activities of their choice. Due to this flexibility, most home schooling students exceed and excel both academically and socially.

Since 2015, we have been participating in international academic competitions. This is a unique opportunity for ASRA learners to engage and socialise with local and international students.

We hold regular online enrichment lessons focusing on various Skills development. Participation for pupils is optional for these lessons.

Assement and Progress

Our specialist pastoral team works with parents to understand the individual needs of ASRA learners and ensure there is a plan in place to support all learners.

Students are assessed regularly in the form of formative and summative assessments throughout the year. Parents receive a comprehensive progress report after each assessment.

Curriculum

This is ASRA’s flagship program called ‘Aadab & Akhlaq’ designed and tailored for 21st-century British Muslims. It is a  transformational movement for positive character change, rooted in fundamental Islamic values also considered universal to the human race, such as respect, integrity, honesty and compassion. The main aim of this program is to help our students develop and understand virtue ethics and inspire them to acquire and practice these virtues in their daily life.
